Members of the Girls' and Boys' Brigade turned out on a sunny morning at the Butts and marched, led by the Boys' Brigade band, to church for the 10.45 service. The young people took part with bible readings, prayers, collection and taking the Lent artefacts up to the Lenten Cross, in this case a crown of thorns and a whip, representing Christ's treatment before being taken to the Cross for crucifixion. The theme of the service was 'Making the right choice', choosing Christ's way or the way of the world.
