Quiet Day Before Holy Week

The day starts at 10.15am with a welcome, followed by the first of two talks by a member of the Community of Our Lady and St John — an Anglican Benedictine Monastery near Alton.
There is a Eucharist at 9am in the church to which all are welcome, followed by coffee in the Green Room. The day will finish at 4pm
Soup and hot drinks will be available, please bring anything else you might need.
The cost of the day is £10. Booking is not necessary.

An Evening with Rudyard Kipling by Philip Geddes & Friends
to be held in Alton Abbey church, GU34 4AP
on Saturday May 6th 2017
at 7.30pm
This will tell the story of Kipling's life with readings from his poetry and prose. It takes Kipling from his early days as the chronicler of Britain's Indian Raj, through to his high point as poet of Empire for Edwardian England and as voice of the nation in the First World War. The show includes many Kipling favourites — "If", regularly voted Britain's favourite poem "The White Man's Burden", and extracts from "Plain Tales from the Hills" and the "Just So stories".
Tickets £15 include wine, soft drinks and light refreshments
