July Programme

Tuesday 3rd July 2.30pm — Lip Reading with Maggie Short ATLA, Tutor. An hour of relaxed exercises to assist in learning lip reading skills, so useful to the hearing impaired. Come along and give it a go. You will be surprised at what fun it is!

Tuesday 17th July 2pm — Drop-In, have a chat and a cuppa and get up to date with the activities of Knitters Anonymous. Cribbage also for those interested

Sunday 15th July — T@3, afternoon tea from 3pm. Join us for conversation, friendship and lovely cakes!

Tuesday 24th July 2pm — Winchester part lll — Arthur Negus continues his narration of Winchester's history, plus an update on hearing related matters and the usual Raffle.

August Programme

N.B. NO Lip Reading Session this month

Tuesday 21st August — Drop-In to the Allen Gallery from 2pm for tea and cake served by the gallery volunteers.

Tuesday 28th August — Childhood Memories and Games. Members are invited to bring along photos, stories and anecdotes from their childhood to share.

REMEMBER — the deafPlus mobile unit will be in Sainsburys car park between 10.30am and noon to offer assistance and advice on Tuesday 24th July and Tuesday 28th August. Do visit this valuable resource (which we shall be losing in the Autumn due to Hampshire stopping the funding) to see how you can be helped with modified telephones, adapted smoke alarms, vibrating pillow pads and much more to make your life easier and safer.
