A new initiative!

We have offered pre-Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions through Boys' Brigade for many years, but I was approached recently by some young people who don't belong to BB asking if they too could tackle similar expeditions!

I'm therefore starting a "Young Venturers" group for boys and girls in School Years 7 and 8. It will meet at 7pm on Wednesday evenings in preparation for undertaking an expedition in the summer months. This group will be run under church auspices, and we will seek the approval of Church Council for this at their next meeting. The first meeting is due to take place on 4th January.

Anyone who is interested in taking part should get in touch with me as soon as possible.

David Allan (84739).

Many others generously provided...

It was a glorious day for the Year 8 Young Venturers' expedition — clear skies and the temperature climbing to 26 degrees! The three girls and four boys set off from Holybourne, and almost immediately discovered how easy it is to get mislaid even when close to home! However, they soon passed Wyck and continued, although not without further excitements, to Binsted, where they enjoyed an early...
