Alton Webteam: May 2021
The Spring Walk was led by David & Christine Allan.
A hardy group of us gathered on the Green at Medstead — to be greeted by sunshine and many warm smiles!
We set off over the village Green towards the woods, admiring the Bluebells as we went.
The two dogs (Willow & friend!) thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to roam, chase and enjoy lots of fascinating scents!
Out into open countryside pessimistic coats were discarded and as we ventured up and down country tracks much conversation was enjoyed — so good to actually see people and not be on Zoom!
Walking through a farmyard new born lambs were enjoyed as was the sight of some lovely country cottages to admire up and around Wivelrod.
After a four mile walk and some expert guidance we arrived back in Medstead where others greeted us, gathered around the park benches and enjoyed a picnic lunch.
It was only an hour or so later, when safely home, that the heavens opened and torrential storms descended!
Thank you for a great walk!
