On the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I, our BB band proudly led the town parade from the Market Square to the memorial on Crown Hill. And that evening, having attended the special service in St Lawrence Church, our buglers played "Last Post" in the dark churchyard, at exactly 6.55pm — the same time as it was being played in hundreds of similar "Battle's Over" celebrations around the nation.

Alton Town Council, in a letter of thanks, expressed their gratitude to our band for undertaking these duties for the town.

What a fantastic effort from Liam, Steve and Pete as they represented the Methodist Church in the Santa Run.Running in the team race they crossed the finishing tape to the cheers of the watching crowd. Not only that but they each entered the individual race which was three times as long... with Liam coming in an exceptionally good fourth place and Steve and Pete not too far behind. Well...
