As a church we seek to:
As is so often the case, it is the poets, musicians and hymn writers that can far more eloquently sum up our hope and ideals, our dreams and visions. For me the new hymn written by Marty Haugen, "Let us build a house where love can dwell" (Singing the Faith 409) concisely sums up what with God's help, we seek to be:
""Let us build a house where hands will reach beyond the wood and stone,
To heal and strengthen, serve and teach, and love the Word they've known.
Here the outcast and the stranger bear the image of God's face,
Let us bring an end to fear and danger:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where all are named, their songs and visions heard
And loved and treasured, taught and claimed as words within the Word.
Built of tears and cries and laughter, prayers of faith and songs of grace.
Let this house proclaim from floor to rafter:
All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.""
Our morning service on a Sunday is at 10.00am followed by coffee and a chance to chat.
